My name is Francesco Scavo and I am first and foremost a family man, a proud father and husband. I found my calling later in life. I spent most of my adult life doing sales. Then I had two of the most amazing kids on the planet. My oldest, a wonderful kid, who is smart, funny and fascinated with everything to do with engineering is on the spectrum. He inspired me and I decided to go back to school to get my Masters in Special Education. I chose instead to focus on advocacy. Every day more children are found to need extra help through special education. More and more families need IEPs and 504 plans and while navigating this path should help a parent and put them at ease, for many parents it is the opposite.

 

For many parents it can leave them feeling overwhelmed. I do not want any parent to feel that way. Every child is entitled to a solid education and every parent is entitled to feel like they are a part of deciding what that means.

I want to do one thing with my life; help as many people as possible. I truly believe that every child is exceptional and want them to get the education they deserve.
